We need to do as much as we can to get hockey back..
As TJO668 pointed out:
We also have a great opportunity RIGHT NOW to show any potential teams/investors that we're a good market. Tickets went on sale last week for the NCAA hockey tournament. It's a long way off, but if anyone is trying to get a feel for the market and they see the building is sold out by the end of October, that sends a HUGE message. Ditto on the Atlantic Hockey Tournament at Holy Cross the week before.
We need to show EVERYONE that we will support hockey here. That means buying tickets to this, and tell your friends, any groups that you know of that used to purchase IceCats tickets, as well as local business to buy tickets. Let's sellt he place out!
What else can we do?
Call the city (mayor, city manager, etc). Call the Chamber of Commerce. Write to the Telegram and Worcester Magazine. Even if you have done so in the past - do it again. We can't allow anyone to let up on this. Tell them how much you, your families, your groups miss hockey this year. Tell them how much the IceCats meant to the community and you. Ask them what they are doing to get another team back in here. Whatever it takes - do it. But please, remember to be polite and be constructive.
